London Calling

Only a few more days and we will be off to the UK, heading up to Nottinghamshire first, we will be Glamping for a few days, then spending the weekend in Cambridge with my good friend Noel Young, of Noel Young Wines to which my liver will get a severe beating.

We then spend four days in London at the Connaught Hotel in Mayfair, no less, at an eye-watering room rate but I am looking forward to a bit of luxuriating and my daughter is now accustomed to such–to manor born.

With so many excellent restaurants and good food in London these days, deciding on where to dine has been rather difficult, wanting to take in a much as we can, and have success lunches and dinners now booked.

Monday we are having dinner at The Quality Chop House. Tuesday lunch at The Providores and dinner at Le Cafe Anglais. Wednesday lunch at the River Cafe and dinner at Bistrot de Luxe. Thursday lunch at St. John Smithfield and dinner at Scotts. A brilliant line-up indeed and there goes the weight loss programme.
