Happy New Year from the Wandering Palate

Inspiration for 2015 comes from John Steinbeck, Travels with Charley: In Search of America

“I have always lived violently, drunk hugely, eaten too much or not at all, slept around the clock or missed two nights of sleeping, worked too hard and too long in glory, or slobbed for a time in utter laziness. I’ve lifted, pulled, chopped, climbed, made love with joy and taken my hangovers as a consequence, not as a punishment.”

We saw in the New Year with a late dinner of roast pork loin which was cooked to perfection, nothing beats crispy crackling and served up a Two Paddocks First Paddock Pinot Noir 2010, which went brilliantly–pig and pinot! And if you can tell me where this stone relief depecting a pig feast is, I will shout you dinner, anywhere!

All the very best for the year ahead and hope to see you at the Wine Advocate Matter of Taste events www.a-matter-of-taste.com
