DIRECT FROM SELL OUT PERFORMANCES AT THE MELBOURNE FOOD & WINE FESTIVAL 2011 AND HONG KONG, THE DUCK CRAWL COMES TO SINGAPORE

This enjoyable but somewhat quirky event was established by Melbourne based Roy Moorfield, well-known wine writer and adviser with over three decades of experience in the wine trade.

What started out as a casual lunch for wine professionals, has found a place as an icon event of the Melbourne Food and Wine Festival. As an advisor to Cathay Pacific Airlines, Roy travels a lot to Hong Kong, so the Duck Crawl naturally followed.

The Duck Crawl embraces matching Chinese cuisine; specifically duck dishes, with pinot noir, which Roy describes as one of the food and wine “Wonders of the World” as it shows the harmony of flavours that go so well together.

“The dishes and wine take you through three exciting restaurant locations, in the one dinner, the magic of a common interest in wine and food produces a happy and simulating camaraderie between participants.”

The Wandering Palate is teaming up with Roy to bring the Duck Crawl to Singapore, scheduled for around the 29th October, with the selection of the three restaurants and pinot noirs under way. In keeping with Singapore diverse and multi-cultural cuisines we will be incorporating a wider spectrum of Asian flavours… There will be limited places for this unprecedented event, so please register your interest ASAP to curtisjohn@singnet.com.sg
