Champagne Sunday Brunch Reaches New Realms of Indulgence and Sophistication with the Revitalised Waldorf Sunday Brunch at Waldorf Astoria Shanghai on the Bund

Champagne Sunday Brunch with friends and family is the epitome of decadent weekend pleasure. Waldorf Astoria Shanghai has elevated this cherished occasion to a new realm of sophistication by combining two of the Bund’s most coveted venues to share the ultimate Sunday Brunch journey.

Waldorf Astoria Shanghai on the Bund Grand Brasserie

The Waldorf Champagne Brunch features finessed gourmet offerings usually reserved for fine dining tables. Without a doubt this is Shanghai’s most exceptional Champagne Sunday Brunch experience.

The Waldorf Champagne Brunch begins at 11am at the legendary Long Bar. Brunch guests can congregate in this much-loved heritage venue to savour freshly shucked oysters from the marble Oyster Bar and flutes of premium champagne. After the Long Bar, the gourmet journey continues to the Grand Brasserie from midday. In this opulent modern Manhattan-style setting, diners will enjoy a sumptuous array of dishes by Waldorf’s Master Chef, presented at dynamic open kitchen stations.

Superior brunch offerings include a Seafood Bar overflowing with caviar, clams and other premium shellfish. In addition, guests can choose a main course from the a la carte Chef’s Specialities menu. Seasonal picks for Summer 2012 include Pan-seared Foie Gras with Ginger Raspberry Compote and Peanut Butter Foam; Crab Cake “Benedict”, “Risotto Primavera” with lobster and Steak Tartare “a la Reuben”.

Chinese favourite dishes include Sichuan Spice & Dry Chili Scented Wok-fried Chicken. Sweet-toothed brunch connoisseurs will adore the “Red Velvet” Chocolate Chip Pancakes with Whipped Cream Cheese.

To accompany the fine cuisines, a Jazz Trio will serenade diners with soothing harmonies.

The Waldorf Champagne Brunch is served between 11am and 3pm each Sunday (Long Bar: 11am – 1pm, Grand Brasserie: midday – 3.00pm). Brunch is priced at RMB 888/person + 15% surcharge, including free flowing champagne, a selection of fine red and white wines, still and sparkling water, fresh juices, soft drinks, gourmet coffee and fine tea. RMB 688/person + 15% surcharge without Champagne. The Children’s Brunch costs RMB 328/person + 15% surcharge (6-16 years), free for children under six. All prices include dining at both outlets featured in The Waldorf Sunday Brunch Tour.
