Adapted from Charles Webb’s novel and the Oscar winning film, The Graduate is at once a moving coming of age story and a terrifically funny black comedy. With the rise of the “Cougar”, the production is as relevant today as it was the day it was written, “The Graduate” is set against a soundtrack of some of the most memorable songs of the sixties including Wouldn’t It Be Nice – by The Beach Boys, Everybody’s Talkin – by Harry Nilsson and, of course, The Sound Of Silence & Mrs Robinson – by Simon and Garfunkel.
Jerry Hall will reprise her role as the legendary seductress, the sexy, sultry Mrs Robinson in a Melbourne exclusive season of “The Graduate” in 2013. Jerry’s wowed audiences in this iconic piece of American culture in the West End, Toronto, Broadway, North America, Perth and now, it’s Melbourne’s turn to be seduced.
The Graduate was originally commissioned and produced on the London and Broadway stage by John Reid and Sacha Brooks. It is presented in Melbourne by Andrew Kay, Liza McLean & Michael Coppel.
