Renzo Marinai is the man behind the producer of the same name, a property located in the heart of Panzano; perhaps the most highly regarded

Renzo Marinai

sub-zone of Chianti Classico. A small prouder of fine Chianti, grower of ancient wheat and producer of classic organic olive oil, Renzo is a passionate farmer.

This dinner puts two of his wines, the Chianti Classico and Chianti Classico Riserva, next to two other great Panzano producers. Fontodi is the largest and arguably most famous Panzano producer, and Vecchie Terre de Montefili is another small very high quality producer making a classic-styled, pure form of Chianti Classico.

It should be a great, casual, but informative dinner in which to really explore some of the sub-regional differences of Panzano.
