Chateau Musar Wine Dinner – Singapore 24th July

Singapore’s Vintry Wine Bar www.vintry.com.sg are hosting winemaker Ralph Hochar from the legendary Bekaa Valley, Lebanon winery, Chateau Musar.

This is arguably one of the most idiosyncratic wines on planet earth and those who enjoy history in their wine will be absorbed by the story of this ancient eastern Mediterranean land of Cannan that dates back to c.1000BC. Chateau Musar is infamous for its sometimes wild blend of cabernet sauvignon cinsault and carignan and depending on the vintage, the style changes completely, which by all accounts is the way the winemakers wants it. You get an idea of their somewhat over-natural approach in this piece on Jancis Robinsons website http://www.jancisrobinson.com/articles/tasting050525.html

It is certainly one of the rare tastings to come up this year and I wouldn’t miss it, see details below
